Foodfucked: to be fed more food of a ridiculously high quality and deliciousness than deemed judicious by any reputable health authority whilst in no position to refuse
Chefs Martin Picard, David McMillan and Frederic Morin are masters of foodfuckery. They are loved, respected and feared by…

Ahhh! Chipotle. How I miss you so much. :(
I’m a musician - music is my life. However, food is my soul. I can’t go without trying different kinds of innovative and tasty delights.
Thanks to my cousin, the first time I ever tried Chipotle was in Scottsdale, Arizona back in August of 2009. I thought to myself, hmmm a fast food restaurant? I guess it’s gonna be “alright”. I was wrong. This was a totally different experience. We go in, and it’s a trendy looking spot. Great menu picks, with a make your own burrito style. They also have Tacos, Salads, and Nacho chips in a bag. You know what else they have? Alcohol! That’s right, beer and Margaritas! This was a great delight.
I was expecting this place to have the mediocrity of Taco Bell, and other fast food Mexican joints, but man, the flavours were ON POINT. Real quality, fresh flavours. The spice was awesome. My all time favourite choices would have to either be the Chicken, or Barbacoa. With all the fixings! It has nutritional value, but don’t expect to eat this and lose weight. It’s a hefty size burrito, for a great price!
After my trip to Arizona, I was in search for a place like this in Montreal. Never found one. I moved to Toronto a year later, and to my splendid surprise, right near where I went to school, there was a Chipotle! On Yonge and Dundas! It was meant to be for me and Chipotle - reunited again! I used to have it at least twice a week.
When I moved back to Montreal in summer of 2011, I was back to my non-Chipotle life. How sad. :( I’ve been googling places to see if they had anything new open up like this, but I was thoroughly disappointed. I didn’t want some gourmet, $15 dollar burrito, at some trendy sit down restaurant, I wanted a GOOD, filling, quick serve and quality taste burrito for under $10. The distinct taste of Chipotle was but a figment of my taste buds again.
It’s 2012 now, and Chipotle has come back into my life. No, not in Montreal. I travel frequently to New York, since I started dating a New Yorker. Guess what his obsession is? Chipotle! The guy eats it at least a few times a week! Match made in Heaven. It just kind of sucks that I have to travel that far to keep getting my Chipotle fix, though! *snarl*

I’ve written a few times to Chipotle to see if they’ll ever open up here in Montreal. Yeah, we know we have language laws, and tax, but I am pretty damn sure it will make a killing here. We can’t be a foodie city WITHOUT Chipotle… COME ON! If Toronto has it, WE GOTTA HAVE IT. Montreal’s got some of the best restaurants and food in North America. How were we left out of this one?
Chipotle on 8th Street, East Village, New York City! Really friendly staff - makes a pleasant visit.

My other half / Chipotle soulmate in Heaven with his Chipotle Chicken Burrito…

Look at the insides of this beauty… YUM!

Get your Chipotle fix on! Let’s get this baby open in Montreal!
